Ogimachisanjo Kinkado (正親町三条公廉)

Kinkado OGIMACHISANJO (April 28, 1649 - September 30, 1671) was a kugyo (court noble) during the early Edo period. He was a retainer of the Imperial Court who served the two emperors, Emperor Gosai (111th) and Emperor Reigen (112th). He was promoted to Shoshiinoge Sangi (councillor in the Senior Fourth Rank). His father was Sangi Saneaki OGIMACHISANJO. His mother was a daughter of Tamekage REIZEI, Sakone gon no chujo (Provisional Middle Captain of the Left Division of Inner Palace Guards). His younger brother was Sanehisa OGIMACHISANJO, Gon Chunagon (a provisional vice-councilor of state). His son was Kinnosa OGIMACHISANJO, Gon Dainagon (a provisional chief councilor of state).

He was conferred a peerage in 1654. After that, he was gradually promoted from the member of Palace staff to Ukone no shosho (Minor Captain of the Right Division of Inner Palace Guards), and in 1671, he became sangi, position ranked with kugyo, however, died in the same year. He died at the age of 23.
